Magne Borgund named Utopus Insights' Chief Growth Officer

VALHALLA, New York, Sep. 22, 2020 - Utopus Insights announced the appointment of Magne Borgund as Chief Growth Officer.
We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Magne Borgund as Chief Growth Officer at Utopus Insights. Borgund, in his previous role as Interim Head of Growth, has brought about tremendous change in shaping the Growth team for success, and forging a strong business strategy with Vestas, our parent company. He will continue to report to Chandu Visweswariah, Founding President and Chief Executive Officer.

Borgund described being promoted to CGO for Utopus Insights as “a true honor.”

Borgund joined Utopus Insights in 2019, as Vice President, Sales, in the EurAf (Europe & Africa) region.
He has a CEMS Master's in International Management and Master of Science from the Norwegian School of Business Administration and the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Prior to joining Utopus Insights, Borgund had spent 12 years with the Norwegian energy giant, Statkraft, in roles including cross-border trader across 25+ borders in Europe, establishing and running a 24/7 desk for operations, and optimization of Statkraft's renewable portfolio in the United Kingdom.

When she was in 6th grade, Kamya Singh's cousin passed away due to cancer. The doctors did not know enough about the disease to be able to cure it. And she remembers most wanting answers. Her curiosity and drive to know more about how things work eventually led her to pursue a career in engineering. "I like to problem solve technical challenges, and I want to be part of the solution," she said. Initially entering the health care field in data science, Singh, who had only a handful of female classmates as an engineering student, realized early on that she would typically be in the minority when it comes to representation in technical meetings. But she was determined to find her voice, and speak her mind.
