Utopus Insights at WindEurope 2019

The Utopus Insights Team Blows Into Bilbao, Spain for WindEurope 2019 - Conference & Expo kicks off next week!

We are headed to Spain with 8,000 of the world’s most influential leaders in wind energy to celebrate the future of wind and all that it offers in the renewable energy market.

From April 2-4, you can find us co-located in the Vestas Booth, Hall 3 Stand C30.

Maybe most exciting is the public launch of our suite of wind energy analytics products, which have only been available to current customers of Utopus and our parent company Vestas. This product is the industry’s most advanced real-time environmental wind energy asset monitoring solution for sustainable energy production. Utopus’ Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering that renewable energy original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and operators need to maximize production, reduce costs, and give their environmental devices a competitive advantage in the wind energy space.

WindEurope attendees will have a first glimpse at its capabilities during demo sessions on the show floor.

Our Chief Growth Officer, Balki Iyer, will be on-hand with his team to connect with customers and colleagues and discuss the demos. We are excited to see everyone who shares a passion for not just advancing wind energy, but for accelerating greater use of all forms of clean energy.

Kamya Singh, Model Operations Engineer: Journey to Engineering

When she was in 6th grade, Kamya Singh's cousin passed away due to cancer. The doctors did not know enough about the disease to be able to cure it. And she remembers most wanting answers. Her curiosity and drive to know more about how things work eventually led her to pursue a career in engineering. "I like to problem solve technical challenges, and I want to be part of the solution," she said. Initially entering the health care field in data science, Singh, who had only a handful of female classmates as an engineering student, realized early on that she would typically be in the minority when it comes to representation in technical meetings. But she was determined to find her voice, and speak her mind.
